I was wondering if there is a guide on how to upgrade from one version to another. Ie. I have version 1.4, and I would like to upgrade to version 1.5.1. What would be the easiest way to do this?

glorious piece of work
would love some more flexibility with weaseling this into existing logging setups - like an agent that will do dual syslog to existing headend while also sending to ossec server. this would serve to minimise hostile sysadmins reason/argument not to install the agent which would help considerably in getting deployments to happen. Thin end of the wedge theory. commonly used by M$ “always support any protocol/standard that has more market share than you” in this case syslog (remember when lotus123 was king - did excel support that format)

again - impressive product
belive further inroads into market could be made by embracing existing market leader at the agent.
Typically sites serious about log analysis are already running a windows syslog agent. Giving security
administrators a better agent with which to convince sysadmins of the need to change
specifically allowing for existing dual syslog feeds to (to the existing syslog headend) be augemented by 1 or 2 ossec feeds. The market needs flexibility not lockdown - look at the cisco approach where their IOS has
toolset where you rarely encounter a problem that you can’t fix in a number of ways and I already gave you the
shoe in example of lotus 123 and excel - both of these products are market leaders because they have embraced flexibility - power to the end user. dictate the architecture AFTER you are the market leader.
