Hi Paul,

I meant the ossec config, not the kernel one. Anyway, I contacted some guys in
the kernel development and they said that this is a known bug in the kernel
regarding the /sys filesystem (similar to /proc ). Depending on the
circumstances, when trying to read files in there, the kernel would crash.

To avoid problems like this in the future, I changed ossec to ignore /sys in
the same way we do with /proc. If you want to try it out, a fix is available
at:
