Version 0.8-6 of ossec is available (look bellow for an issue
during upgrade)..  New things include:

-Support to horde imp logs.
-Support for compression on the client/server channel.
-Policy based rules, based on day time or weekday.
-Support for nmap logs, alerting on host changes.


*** If you are running server/agents, you must upgrade
both at the same time. The communication channel has changed,
so you must stop them all before upgrading. In reallity, you
can upgrade them separately, but as soon as the server is
updated, the agents will not be able to receive messages back
from it (which means active response will not work).

*** We are also now digitally signing the packages. Look bellow
for more information:

1- Import public key:

2- Verify package and signature:
dcid@copacabana:~$ gpg --verify ossec-hids-0.8-6.tar.gz.sig
ossec-hids-0.8-6.tar.gz
