[Ossec-list] Project looking for translators

Hello everyone,

Starting on the version 0.7 of the OSSEC HIDS we want to have some of
the messages translated from English. Our initial goal is to first
work with the
installation process and then go to the other parts (including website, etc).

We already have a group working in the Brazilian Portguese translation, but
we want more languages (any language!) :)

Note that it's not that much work.. It's about 100-150 lines of
messages (or less).

If you are interested (or know someone who would), do the following:


1- Send an e-mail to us (or me privately) saying which language you
will be working on (to make sure we don't have two people doing the
same thing).

2- Download http://www.ossec.net/hids/files/ossec-hids-0.7-DEV.tar.gz

    $ wget http://www.ossec.net/hids/files/ossec-hids-0.7-DEV.tar.gz

3- Uncompress the package and go the the language part:

    $ tar -zxvf ossec-hids-0.7-DEV.tar.gz
    $ cd ossec-hids-0.7-DEV
    $ cd etc/templates

4- Copy the English messages to the directory of your language.

    $ cp -pr en pt-br (for the brazilian portuguese case)

5- Go to the directory you just made and start translating.

    $ cd pt-br
    $ ls -la
    drwxr-xr-x  3 dcid  dcid   512 Mar  3 11:01 errors
    -rw-r--r--  1 dcid  dcid    49 Mar  9 14:04 language.txt
    drwxr-xr-x  3 dcid  dcid   512 Mar  3 19:37 messages
   -rw-r--r--  1 dcid  dcid  2698 Mar  4 20:38 messages.txt

- You will have two files messages.txt and language.txt and also a few files
inside errors and messages. Any problem or question, let me know.
