[ossec-list] Re: Where can I find upgrade instructions?



As far as ossec.conf and local_rules.xml, I've never had a problem 
just running the install script, it is smart enough to keep the 
changes (assuming you keep your modified rules in the local_rules 
file and not touch the others, the upgrade script now asks you to 
overwrite the others).  I haven't tried upgrading after modifying the 
decoder.xml file though, and there isn't an option to keep custom 
decoders in a separate file that I see, so ymmv on that one.  The 
Windows agent seems to work the same way, and the new GUI is a nice 
improvement.
